Rob Benvie is a musician and writer, born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, currently splitting his time between Montreal and Toronto. He has participated in or led many musical endeavours, including Thrush Hermit, Camouflage Nights, Tigre Benvie and The Dears. His writing has appeared in numerous print and online publications, including McSweeney’s, Joyland, and Broken Pencil. He is the author of the novels Safety of War (2005) and Maintenance (2011), both with Coach House Books.
